Article 1. The name of said Corporation shall be: The North American Gaming Regulators Association
Article 2. The period of duration is perpetual
Article 3. The purposes for which the Corporation is organized are:
A. To operate the Corporation on a nonprofit basis;
B. To bring together agencies from state and other jurisdictions that are involved in the regulation of all type of gaming with primary emphasis placed upon gaming conducted for nonprofit purposes;
C. To provide a forum for the mutual exchange of regulatory techniques;
D. To collect and disseminate regulatory and enforcement techniques, procedures and experiences from all jurisdictions and assist in the training of personnel of all jurisdictions;
E. To provide a medium for communication of common problems and for exchanging information beneficial to the enforcement programs of all jurisdictions;
F. To provide a unified voice to speak on legislative matters concerning gaming;
G. To provide a resource to assist and encourage controlling jurisdictions in enacting standardized legislation and rules concerning regulated gaming;
H. To collect and disseminate statistical data regarding gaming activities of the member jurisdictions;
I. To provide a forum for the mutual exchange of information with the regulated organizations and related trade associations, distributors and manufacturers.
Article 4. In the event of dissolution of this Corporation, the Board of Directors shall, after paying or making provision for the payment of all debts and liabilities of the Corporation, distribute any remaining assets of the Corporation to any organization with similar or identical purposes to this Corporation and which corporation would qualify for exemption from federal income tax under Section 501(c) of the internal revenue code.
