Ahead Of Supreme Court Ruling, States Mull Sports-Betting Options

New York, Maryland and West Virginia are among states preparing to push sports-betting bills next year, with the issue of whether to limit licenses to established casinos already emerging as a threshold question.

Pennsylvania, Connecticut and Mississippi all passed legislation in 2017 to prepare themselves for the outcome of New Jersey’s Supreme Court appeal against the federal ban that effectively limits lawful wagering to Nevada.

A number of others could follow suit next year, according to a panel of state lawmakers at this week’s Sports Betting USA conference in New York City.  Click HERE to read more..
