Leagues Prepare For Aftermath Of Supreme Court Decision On Sports Betting

The nation’s professional sports leagues are already considering options they can pursue after the U.S. Supreme Court releases its decision on sports betting in the spring, according to league officials who appeared at the first-ever Sports Betting USA Conference on Tuesday in New York City.

*** As for the upcoming decision by the Supreme Court, Dan Spillane, who is senior vice president and assistant general counsel of the NBA, said his league is ready for anything.


“There’s no question that anyone who has an interest in this area — not just the NBA, not just the sports leagues but presumably … the bulk of organizations represented in this room — need to be ready for a range of outcomes,” Spillane told a group of more than 100 gaming professionals, of whom about 70 percent live and work outside the United States.  Click HERE to read more...
